a little bit of red never hurt nobody

Falling for a red dress, a dramatic fashion love story.

As you all probably know by now, you know that I am obsessed with neutrals. The closest I get to wearing color is jeans. Yes, jeans. I don't know why I am this way...sometimes I dramatically find myself thinking about what makes me so attracted to neutrals. Cue a turning point...when I was at the Aritzia showroom the other day, I practically melted over this dress. The strong hue just struck me, and I could picture myself walking around Soho with spring weather and cat-eye sunglasses, feeling fabulous and light. I also think what attracted me so much is that I could throw it on and did not need to compensate with jewelry or other accessories because it was the statement itself. Sometimes, color is enough.

Since New York is still freezing I couldn't quite capture that look exactly, so I opted for some layering with black jeans and Céline boots. A simple yet chic bag from The Frankie Shop topped it off.

Photographed by the amazing Katie Knoll.

So...I'm thinking about adding more pops of red to my wardrobe this season. I photographed another red number that you will be seeing shortly and it is a pretty fiery look...stay tuned...
