my favorite spots in nyc

It's no lie that I'm a foodie and love New York City restaurant-searching. It's honestly like a soul search. After living here for 2 years, I think I've put together a great list of restaurants that I frequent, so much so that the people actually know me at most of these and it is mostly embarrassing. And even though a lot of these spots are dear to my heart and, like you're favorite band, I didn't want to give them up...but, here's the list...

TO EAT...
OFICINA 1 MIGLIA
371 BROOME STREET

You guys have probably seen this place tons on my Instagram stories, because I truly can't get enough. Since I am Italian, I love my Italian food. I brought my dad here once, a true foodie (like father like daughter), and he LOVED it. The food is absolutely delicious--it makes no sense to me as to why they don't have lines down the block to get in. The atmosphere is perfectly Italian meets rustic, and the prices honestly aren't too bad (for New York City). They have amazing wines as well and cute outdoor seating for those perfect, summer nights. And, the best part, they're never overwhelmingly busy. When brunch spots have crowds outside, I can always count on Oficina to cater to my pancake-needs. It is a calm, chic atmosphere and Soho's best kept secret.

EPISTROPHY
200 MOTT STREET

Another cozy Soho restaurant is Epistrophy on Mott. It has a gorgeous bar, sweet wooden tables and an unbelievably comfy couch area by a window. Again, another Italian spot, but the food and cozy atmosphere will not disappoint. You can also eat outside or opt for inside and admire the brick walls and bookshelves. Their coffee is amazing and it is the perfect spot for sitting and listening to the rain outside while having a yummy meal with a friend.

GEMMA
335 BOWERY

Again, another spot you probably see a ton of on my Instagram stories. They have lots of wax candles burning everywhere and the atmosphere is just so romantic. I would recommend as a date place. The food is also incredible--I love their cheese plate with red wine. Gemma is located next to the Bowery Hotel, another ultra chic spot. On date night, Adam and I once sat right next to Jonah Hill while scarfing down cheese. It was beautiful.

TO STAY-CATION...

THE LUDLOW HOTEL
180 LUDLOW STREET

The Ludlow is one of my absolute favorite places on this list. I was lucky enough to stay for my birthday and had the best time. They even sent up a bottle of champagne for us to celebrate the occasion! The bathroom is ultimate interior inspirations, the bed's are comfy, the view of downtown is amazing, and the room service is yum. They also have the coolest bar/lounge and restaurant (which is attached to the hotel). I loved having a bath here and then getting room service for breakfast and lounging around in robes. It is also located in a great place since you can get to Soho and other cool areas easily.

 TO GAIN INSPIRATION...

THE APARTMENT BY THE LINE
76 GREENE STREET

This is a spot you've definitely seen photographed countless times on my Instagram, but it's because it is just so aesthetically pleasing. I love to wander in (located on the third floor of an apartment building--you feel like you're in on a secret) and take pictures, get inspiration, and sometimes splurge on a Maison Louis Marie candle. It is a beautiful space and all of the employees are helpful and sweet. And don't worry, they're totally used to people taking pictures.

Thanks so much for reading! I'll definitely do a round 2 of this because I have other spots I would love to share with you guys. Let me know what you'd like to see!

    1. Honestly I don't have any specific stores that may be different from where you live, but I love popping into Reformation, Ritual Vintage, Mango, & Other Stories, Cos! I would also recommend doing a picnic in Central Park, walking around Soho/West Village, going to the MOMA/art museums!
