in between summer & fall

It's a very awkward time in dressing--it's still pretty warm, yet air conditioned rooms and random cold breezes pop up here and there which leaves a girl to question...what the hell do I wear? In between summer and fall, I try to incorporate some cozy pieces, while still being careful that I have a breathable feature about my outfits. Here is what I wore on a day where the weather was just so, and I felt perfectly insulated (and pretty chic).

"back to responsibilities" looks

I put together a couple of outfits for going back to responsibilities--aka school, work, or any other tasks that pop up around this time when all we want is to still bask in the last bit's of summer sun. Autumn is just around the corner, which means we need cozy looks that will still keep us comfortable and stylish for running around, while trying to cope with the fact that we are back to work.

my current wishlist

Hi guys! So I wanted to do a little post about what I've been admiring + bookmarking this month for when I get the chance to go shopping. I've been feeling my neutral brown tones even more than usual (can you believe it) and overall just a French, detailed, simple style. Here's what is on my wish list!

Links...
-White Turtleneck (Zara)
-Beret (Asos)

You know when youc an just picture yourself in something? That's how I feel with all of these items. I feel like lace and small details is making a comeback, surprisingly for winter, which I'm super thrilled about. Even though most lace is thin, wear a matching long-sleeve underneath with a coat and once you're inside take it off and voila, you look ultra chic. Delicate necklaces against lace is so beautiful too. Also, I'm really excited for that & Other Stories bralette because I want to layer it on top of turtlenecks and sweaters...call me crazy?! And I feel the need to splurge on another Diptyque candle. I love using them afterwards to store things so I try to convince myself it is a justified purchase. Anyway, what is on your wish list?! Would love to know!

tuned down flapper

Hi guys! I wanted to share with you a sort of funky yet really cool look I've been playing around with and ended up falling in love with. I was gifted this amazing white-tassled skirt and it got me thinking, what is a different way I could style it that is casual, comfortable, yet goes perfectly with this Autumn weather? This is what I came up with...

I thought that an oversized sweater that would drape over it yet still compliment it would be the best way to go. I paired it with a simple bag and brown ankle boots! The sweater is from Free People and the boots are by Doc Marten!

This beautiful skirt is from Art Department, a super-chic company with really nice designs with a modern approach. Here is the link to their site!

I know this outfit was so simple but I just love how the skirt adds so much texture and playful-ness to it. I definitely want to start incorporating some unique pieces in my wardrobe, and I think this was definitely the first piece for me! Add tights, or even sparkly tights, in case it is really chilly and you need an extra layer. A white tee and leather jacket with black ankle boots would also look great with this! I really hope you like and got inspired by this outfit!

some autumn outfitting

Hi! So, because I can't film a fall look book yet or a back to school supplies video (all my things still haven't arrived from Etsy), I've decided the next best thing would be featuring some fall-inspired outfits taken off my Polyvore onto here ☺︎ each has a different sort of vibe, but all involve my favorite neutrals and Autumn tones. I really hope you guys enjoy and they give you inspiration for this upcoming season!

Really hope you guys liked! If you need details for each outfit, you can go to my Polyvore and click and all will be listed :-)

what's on my rack

As the seasons slowly transition and I turn into wanting Autumn more and more, so does my clothing rack. I find myself tossing my floral dresses somewhere deep into my closet and swapping them out for fluffy, pudgy cardigans. I just love the look of it and it makes me feel even more inspired and craving my favorite season.

I wanted to give you guys a little peak into whats on my rack currently, and how I transition my rack to incorporate pieces that I want to wear in the upcoming season.

Frequently, when I buy something new, I'll just pop it right to the front of my rack. I feel like it keeps me organized that way because I can see where my style is heading and where my mind is (if that makes sense...where is my mind jam anyone??) Right now I'm in that fall head space, which is why I have that beautiful cardigan as the third item. But, you can see towards the back how I still have dresses and florals because that's what I wore constantly these past few summer months.

I picked out a couple staple pieces on my rack right now...and like I mentioned, some are "fally" and most are summer.  But hopefully you can visibly see the transitioning happening and how these are really amazing staples to any wardrobe (in case you need a few tidbits, I get lots of messages asking about my current essentials so I truly hope this can help).Items in order:1. Vintage t-shirt Brandy Melville2. Crushed velvet slip dress Zara3. Silk Dress Silk Laundry4. Sheer polka-dot button up Free People5. Chunky oatmeal-colored cardigan Free People6. Denim overall dress Zara7. Long black cardigan Free PeopleAnd that's it! I also have some bags hanging on there but those are more just so I can have the space since my closet doesn't have appropriate organization for bags and what not. I also have shoes on the bottom, but those will probably get swapped at any moment now because they're all open and summery. I wanted to focus more on clothes anyway! :')
I really hope you liked this brief little post, and hope it gave you some inspiration as we head into the most perfect season of all, Autumn!!!
